Photo an Hour: Sunday

I was inspired by a recent post on According to Kiki, in which Kiki posted a photo from every hour of her day. I’ve seen these types of posts before, and I always enjoy reading them to see a little glimpse into the everyday lives of some of my favorite bloggers. So I thought I would create a similar post myself.

Here is a photo an hour for this past Sunday.

{7:30am} I get up and make myself coffee. Usually, Jona is already up by now, but today he’s still asleep.

{8:30am} I enjoy a little quiet time to myself before Aaron and Jona are up. Jona was sick this past week, and he’s been sleeping a lot more than usual. While my boys rest, I work on a blog post.

{9:30am} My little sleepy-head finally wakes up and requests “peanut butter jelly” for breakfast. He hasn’t been eating much lately, so I happily oblige.

{10:30am} For dinner tonight, I’m making Slow Cooker Balsamic Pork Tenderloin, so I throw everything in the Crock Pot and let it do its thing.

{11:30am} We usually go to a 9:00am church service on Sundays, but this weekend we decide to stay home since Jona has been sick. Our church offers an online service, so we watch the sermon while Jona watches Caillou.

{12:30pm} Since Jona seems to be feeling better, we (finally!) get out of the house. We eat lunch at Pie 5, a new-to-us pizza chain. I eat a delicious pizza with ricotta cheese, Kalamata olives, Italian sausage, and sun-dried tomatoes. Jona eats nothing.

{1:30pm} It’s a beautiful day, so we take Ellie on a walk and head to a nearby park–the “fishy park” Jona calls it, because one of the pieces of playground equipment is shaped like a fish. He doesn’t last long; soon Jona asks to go back in the stroller–we can tell that he’s still not back to his usual self.

{2:30pm} After I put Jona down for a nap, I make whipped cream for a pie I made the day before and snap a few photos while I have good light.

{3:30pm} I take this week’s flat lay photos for my Instagram

{4:30pm} Since Jona is still sleeping (see what I mean about all the sleep?) I curl up with my napping buddy Ellie, read for a bit, and then doze off.

{5:30pm} “Mommy, will you build a tower with me?” How can I say no to that?

{6:30pm} For dinner, we eat the pork that had been cooking in the crock pot all day along with some roasted potatoes. Meat and potatoes… Aaron’s favorite.

{7:30pm} Time to read a story (or two, or three). Lately we’ve been loving The Foot Book and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (which is looong… so I do a little editing as I read).

{8:30pm} Now that the kiddo is tucked into bed, I have a little snack and work on the coming week’s blog posts. I try to get the week’s worth all written (or at least mostly written) by Sunday night so I’m not scrambling to finish my posts the night before.

{9:30pm} Honestly, most days I’m in bed by now, but Sundays I tend to stay up a little later since I’m trying to finish up blog posts. Before I go to bed, I like to plan out my week as much as I can, so I have an idea of what the week will look like. (This is just for my personal life and blog life, for work I use my Outlook calendar and a daily to-do list.)

{10:30pm} Before I go to sleep, I always spend some time reading. Right now I’m reading The Nightingale, and I stay up way too late Sunday reading it. It’s really good!

What does a typical Sunday look like for you?
