Cozy Fall Stripes with Plaid

Lest we forget, winter wanted to remind us she is coming, so she sent snow last Thursday, then again yesterday. I wish I were more like Lorelai Gilmore and found the snow magical, but unfortunately I’m a bit more scrooge-like about it. I can appreciate the snow, but only when I’m inside, under a blanket, with nowhere to go. Since the snow rarely fits into those schedule openings, it’s more of a pain than anything else.

Winter weather grumblings aside, it warmed up a bit on Sunday when I wore this to church. Tights were necessary of course, but at least I didn’t have to wear snow boots. I visited some outlet stores a couple of weeks ago and found this striped tee and sweater vest at Gap Outlet. I can’t say no to a great striped tee, and I also wanted another layering piece that’s a bit different from my utility vest and puffer vests. I paired them together for this look, and added the scarf for warmth–also because I liked the colors and prints together.

Is it starting to look like winter where you live or are you still enjoying fall? How do you feel about snow?
