Beauty Q & A and Everyday Products

Beauty isn’t a topic I discuss much around here. While I wear makeup and enjoy trying new products, I don’t like to spend a lot of time or money on skincare, makeup, or hair products. Basically, I’m both cheap and lazy when it comes to these things. However, if you’re cheap and lazy with your beauty too, read on to find out some of my go-to products.

I’m also joining in with The Blended Blog’s TBB Asks questions this month, which are all about beauty.

{tbb asks: all about beauty}

1. Eyelash curler: yes or no? No. Remember, lazy.

2. Favorite nail shade? When I actually take the time to do my nails (which is rarely), I like a light, neutral shade. On my toes, which I do try to keep up with during sandal season, I love a pretty coral.

3. Favorite lipstick shade? During the fall and winter, I like burgundy, such as Revlon’s Black Cherry. In the spring and summer I go for lighter shades of pink and peach.

4. Blow dry or air dry your hair? I shower at night and let my hair air dry and then straighten it in the morning. Now that my hair is a little longer I don’t have to wash it every day, which is nice.

5. Artificial nails: yes or no? No, I’ve tried them before but they’re not for me. They just got in the way and were a huge pain remove.

6. Foundation: yes or no? Yes, I do wear foundation. Sometimes in the summer I switch to tinted moisturizer or BB/CC Cream.

7. Hair up or hair down? Right now I don’t have much of a choice, but even when my hair was longer I usually wore it down. I get headaches when I wear my hair up for too long.

8. Bar soap or body wash? Body wash. Currently Target’s Dove knock-off. (Remember? Cheap.)

9. Bath or shower? Shower. I’ve tried to take relaxing baths but they’re just not really for me–I just want to get in and get out. I’ll relax somewhere dry. Where there’s no risk of ruining my book or kindle.

10. Favorite body lotion? As I mentioned in my February Favorites post, I’ve really been loving the Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion lately.

11. Do you wear perfume? If so, favorite scent? I used to, although I haven’t for quite a while. I used to wear Chance by Chanel but I don’t really remember to ever put it on any more.

12. Do you shave your legs every day? Can you hear me laughing right now? No, no I don’t. Especially not in winter. In the summer I’ll shave about every other day, but never every day.

13. Favorite lip balm? I’ve used Natural Ice since I was in junior high (or maybe even before that) and I still always use it. It’s probably filled with terrible ingredients, but I love it. I also like EOS lip balms.

14. How old were you when you started wearing makeup? I don’t remember, maybe 12 or so? I remember playing with makeup at a younger age but I started wearing it regularly I was probably in junior high or close.
