Goals for May and April Goal Recap

Each month I share my goals as a way to motivate myself to get things done and stay accountable. Here’s this month’s recap and the next month’s set of goals for my home, my blog, and my family and personal life.

Print photos. It only took me, what… 6 months to do this, but FINALLY I got some photos printed. I found a Groupon for photo to canvas printing, and I ordered some prints from our family session and Violet’s newborn session. We recently had pictures taken with Aaron’s side of the family, so when we get those back we’ll probably order a few more.

Get at least one month ahead in my editorial calendar. I did manage to get over a month ahead, at least with ideas for posts.

Buy some spring clothes, but stick to what I need.  As you saw from my budget post last week, I did buy quite a few clothes for spring. I mostly did stick to my list, so I’m going to count this one as completed.

Do a home-related Pinterest DIY. I’m leaning towards this color-block basket DIY I saw on In Residence (and even put it on my #LYBLforLess calendar). I already have a few baskets that could stand to be prettied up a bit.

Share at least 3 style posts. I’ve been terrible about getting outfit photos taken, hence, no style posts. However, with the days getting longer and (hopefully) nice spring weather, I should be able to make this happen more regularly. Thanks in advance, photographer Aaron.

Stay on budget! As I mentioned last week, we made a very bare bones budget for the month of May. I have a little birthday money to spend, but other than that I hope to keep our spending to a minimum. That mostly means not over-spending on FOOD. The food budget is our nemesis.

What are your goals for May? Did you accomplish all you set out to do in April?
