Goals for April and March Goal Recap

The year is a quarter of the way over, can you believe it? Tomorrow starts my very favorite month, my birthday month. I’m going to wrap up March with a review of the month’s goals, and share what I’m going to focus on in April.

Organize and print digital photos. So I did organize my photos, and I have a photo book ready to print in Shutterfly. However, it’s so long that it costs a lot more than I planned on spending, even with one of their discounts. So I may have to do some editing… Sadly, I get a big fat “F” for photo printing. Still didn’t happen.

Get back into a routine that works for me. This is a work in progress, but I did improve somewhat. I got two posts up a week, just about every week, and I shared my posts on Instagram pretty regularly. I would still like to have a better, more consistent routine for blogging.

Try two new breakfast recipes and one new salad recipe. Yes! I made peanut butter oatmeal and learned that I just don’t think I’m an oatmeal person. I can’t quite get into the texture. Also, I made a frittata using this recipe/method and filled it with leftovers from the previous night’s dinner–roasted potatoes, butternut squash, and chicken sausage. It was SO good! I also made homemade waffles last weekend. For a salad, I made this Crunchy Cashew Thai Quinoa Salad from Ambitious Kitchen. I don’t usually get super excited about salads, but this one was delicious.

Print photos. That is IT. How long will it take for me to do this? Obviously I was too ambitious last month–I thought I would do this and other things. Well, now there’s no excuse.

Get at least one month ahead in my editorial calendar. I started to plan ahead last month, I just didn’t get very far. I feel like a month is manageable, planning-wise. I wish I could write that far ahead! Also, I’d like to join in link-ups more consistently and be quicker to respond to comments, but I’m still going to make planning my focus this month.

Buy some spring clothes, but stick to what I need.  I love to shop, but I’m the worst decision-maker ever, so I get easily distracted. I have quite a few things I need right now, so I may just have to put some “shopping blinders” on and only buy what’s on my list. That list includes a white lace-trim top, jeans, a blush pink tee shirt, loafers, and possibly some peep-toe or perforated leather booties. (Shoes are my weakness…)

What are your goals this month?
