Currently: September

August was one of the busiest months of the summer, so I’m not surprised that it flew by. I’m happy to welcome September and all it brings. As always I’m joining Anne and her co-host this month Beth to share what I’m currently

{reading} All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda. I just picked up this thriller so I don’t yet have much to say about it, but I think it will be a nice change of pace. I’ve read a lot of good books lately, but the last few have been more on the serious side. It’s nice to mix in some quick reads to balance things out, and a thriller is always fun.

{trying} to narrow down a preschool for Jona. My maternity leave will end in January, so we decided that would be a good time to start Jona in preschool (and Violet will be starting daycare as well). The last couple of weeks we’ve been touring a few places, and I think we’re pretty close to making a decision.

{hoping} the last 6 weeks of pregnancy go smoothly. I have been incredibly lucky that this has been such an easy pregnancy, and I hope it stays that way to the end. There are definitely times when I feel tired and uncomfortable, but all in all I really can’t complain much.

{decorating} Violet’s nursery. We finally got the nursery mostly cleared out, and now it’s time to focus on the fun part–decorating. I don’t want to make her room overly themed, but I do want to incorporate a little ice cream into the decor. I ordered this print from Etsy and am looking at a few others as well.

{to-do listing} all the “before baby comes” items. October seemed so far away for so long, but now that it’s next month I hear the clock ticking. I’ve made some headway on that list, but I have a lot more to go. (And honestly, all I want to do is just go buy all the little girl clothes… )

What have you been up to lately?
