Goals for April and a March Goal Review

Each month I share my goals as a way to motivate myself to get things done and stay accountable. Here's this month's recap and the next month's set of goals for my home, my blog, and my family or personal life.

March Goal Recap

Some months I'm so motivated and I check things off left and right... and some months, well, are like this one.

{home}

1. Paint living room and hang crown molding. I'm so embarrassed to say that we did neither of these things. We taped and purchased paint. That's all. Aaron took on the project of planting grass seed in our backyard, so that took over as our "home" project this month.

2. Organize desk area. Nope, another home fail.

{blog}

1. Be more organized about participating in blog link-ups. I did create a spreadsheet to organize the link-ups I like to participate in, but I haven't done much with it just yet.

2. Use twitter more regularly, not only to share my own content, but to share others' content as well. Yikes, no.  Twitter = my nemesis.

3. Figure out how to use my tripod/remote and use it for at least one blog post. No, but not for lack of trying. I think I bought a faulty remote from Amazon, because the battery doesn't hold a charge.

{fun / family}

1. Have at least 2 date nights. Due to a flu bug that hit both Jona and I at the beginning of the month, we didn't get two date nights in. However, we had one this past weekend (Thai dinner out followed by ice cream) and it was wonderful.

2. Get decent Easter pictures as a family. Despite the lack of (working) remote, we were able to use the tripod to take some family Easter pictures. We had to do them inside, since it decided to SNOW on Easter morning.

3. Figure out how to download audiobooks from the library. Yes, technically I can check this off because I did figure it out. Did I actually download one? No, not yet.

April Goals

{home}

1. Paint the living room. This month, it's happening. I won't even pretend like we'll get crown molding hung too. Baby steps.

2. Organize desk area

{blog}

1. Use spreadsheet to help me join and organize link-ups each week

2. Be more active and engaged on Twitter. I'm going to keep trying.

3. Attend a local blogging event. It's been a while since I've attended any local blog events, but there's one this month that I'd really like to go to.

{fun / family}

1. Plan a get-together with friends. I haven't had a girl's night (or day) in quite some time, so I'd really like to make that happen soon.

2. Download (and listen to) an audiobook. Any recommendations for one to start with?

3. Take Jona to a kids' museum/place or story time at the library on a day off. There's a day this month that Jona's daycare provider will be off, so I'd like to do a few things that I normally don't get to do with him.

March was a bit rough for me, goal-wise, so I'm hoping April is more successful. What are some of your goals this month?
