Currently: July

July is here. June is over. How did this happen already? These may be the longest days of the year, but I think they go by the quickest. A new month means it's time for another Currently linkup with the lovely Anne and Jenna. Here are a few things I'm up to this month.

Currently: What I'm doing in July 2015 | www.shealennon.com

{craving} all the ice cream. You're shocked, I'm sure. There will be plenty of ice cream runs to be had this summer, but I'd also like to make some ice cream at home. This Mexican chocolate brownie ice cream from Homesick Texan beckons. Excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin.

{grilling} foods on a stick. I've been on a kebab-pinning frenzy lately (as evidenced here, here, and here). I have yet to make them all yet, but I did make a version of these Grilled Greek Chicken Kebabs from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. Why is it that food is just more fun when it's served on a stick?

{listening} to The Greeting Committe. When I'm not listening to Jona belt out the Star Spangled Banner or Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, I usually have Hands Down by local band The Greeting Committee in my head. Other songs I can't get enough of right now are Inside Out by Spoon, Ex's and Oh's by Elle King, and Ship to Wreck by Florence and the Machine.

{planning} our anniversary dinner. Today Aaron and I have been married for nine years. Nine years! That's nearly a decade (#mathgenius)! We're celebrating tonight with a dinner out, since food is a love language we both speak.

{decorating} {un-decorating} our house. I've mentioned before that we're preparing to put our house on the market. Our realtor has a professional who will come over and stage our house before we show it, but one thing she mentioned that we should do is take down all the personal family photos and especially pictures of Jona. I hope the stager comes with some artwork, because there won't be much left after that!

What are you currently up to?
