It’s no secret that spring is my favorite season. It has a lot to do with the fact that my birthday is in April, but more than anything I love the feeling that accompanies that first warm day that comes after winter. It’s a feeling I can’t explain exactly, but I get it every year, every spring.
Lately I’ve been letting life’s small irritations put a damper on my spring feeling. I’m starting to resemble our weather forecast; everywhere I turn there’s a new rain cloud on the horizon. Something changed though when I stepped outside today. Maybe it’s the bright sun deciding to make an appearance, or perhaps it’s this quintessentially spring mix of stripes and florals, but I felt that familiar little tingle of joy. The rain clouds will surely come back, but I’m going to try my best to hold on tight to my spring feeling.
