Paisley Pencil Skirt, Refreshed

This paisley pencil skirt and I go way back. I found it at Target a few years ago, and fell in love with the J.Crew-ish style, bright colors, and budget price tag. I included it in my fall capsule but didn't wear it much, and I wondered if our time together was coming to an end. It lived in storage all winter, but I brought it back out this season and have been wearing it frequently since. I guess (closet) absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Reunited and it feels so good...

Typically I bring out the prep in this skirt by pairing it with checks, pearls, or tailored blazers. This time, inspired by today's Inspiration Monday photo at Two Birds, I wanted to give it more of a cool-girl vibe with a graphic tee, heels, and a statement necklace. While I still love classic, timeless looks, this spring I'm finding myself drawn to styles that have a litte more edge or a touch of funkiness mixed in with classic elements.

How would you describe your style this spring?
