Spring Weekending in a Striped Blazer and Sneakers

Lately, "weekend" has been a verb. It's been a lot of errand-running, blog conference-attending (more on that later this week), picture-taking, dinner-making, and toddler-entertaining. It has become the norm to fill up the weekend checking off the remaining items on the list, and by Monday, I'm often exhausted rather than rejuvenated. I love what Megan at Two Birds had to say about planning a weekend to do nothing. I may not be ready to let go of a whole weekend, but for the next couple of weekends of my favorite month, I'm going to try to slow down and soak it up a little more.

This look is ready for either type of weekend, fast-paced or slow. The Chucks and boyfriend jeans keep things casual, but the blazer and eNVe designs necklace add polish.

How did you spend your weekend?

  1. First of all, I love what you are doing with your hair. It looks so pretty. I hear ya about the weekends. But it's the only time to get it all done! This is a perfect outfit for the weekend and the blazer is the perfect touch.

  2. Yes, weekend has become a verb at our house too - we try to cram in so much stuff, I can relate to the toddler-entertaining thing for sure! We should really try to slow it down one of these weekends too. I love how you paired the blazer with your boyfriend jeans, I finally have a pair now so I'm looking for fun ways to wear them, I'll be trying something like this for sure!

  3. Thanks Megan! I've been experimenting with trying to get waves, and I like how it turned out this time. (It's kind of hit or miss...sometimes it just looks like bedhead, the not cute kind.) And I know, it really is the only time to get it all done. I think we should start petitioning for 4-day workweeks!
