This capsule is a little less pared-down than the last two, but it's only because I already had a lot in my closet for spring. Another difference is that this is sort of a trial-and-error capsule; many things in my spring capsule I'm really not sure if I love or not. I thought I'd see what I actually end up wearing and then make some decisions about the rest. Finally, I'm giving myself permission to make some additions to this list (possibly just trade-outs), as my birthday is at the end of the month and you better believe I'll be doing some shopping.
Without further ado, here's what I'll be wearing this spring:
{column 1: similar jeans | pants}
{column 3: similar pants | similar jeans}
Total number of items: 48 (whoa!)
Additions I'm thinking about:
- new boyfriend jeans (would trade out current pair): I need a better fit, and would like them to be a little less distressed
- new graphic tee (would trade out current tee): Again, I'd like a better fit.
- special-occasion dress for upcoming weddings
- print blouse: I have a lot of tee shirts right now, I'd like to trade one out (navy or turquoise) for a colorful printed blouse
- leopard sandals (would trade out beige wedges): I put my leopard flats away, but considering how often I wore them I'd like a spring/summer leopard option for shoes.
What are you wearing for spring?
From the archives:
- 5 years ago: wearing black and white with a pop of yellow
- 4 years ago: wearing purple, gray, and a statement necklace
- 3 years ago: wearing yellow and playing with headscarves
I love it! You are going to have so many cute spring outfits!

Thanks Melanie, I hope so!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tatiana! As someone who's always cold, I can never have enough jackets and cardigans! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great chouces. You will be making some fab outfits this Spring!! It's cold and rainy here today, so it was good to see a little Spring, even if it's just in fun clothing items!
ReplyDeleteThanks lady! It's rainy here too, but I'm still in a springy mood :)
ReplyDeleteLove the stripes and colorful shoes you've chosen! I can't wait to see how you mix all of these together!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for doing another capsule and it looks like you've made some really great selections. I've always loved that teal pencil skirt on you and I'm digging all of the stripes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! I thought I would have more color but there's still a lot of neutral going on, I hope I don't get sick of it! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan! I didn't even realize just how many stripes I had until I saw them all laid out like this....it's a bit of an obsession I guess. The teal pencil skirt is one of my favorites, I'm glad you like it too! :)
ReplyDeleteExcited to see where you go with this! Love all the stripes, the well-placed pops of color (especially in the shoes!) and of course our twinner live, laugh, love tee... wearing mine this very second! Ha! The trade-out is a good policy - I'm trying to make that a permanent one as a way of keeping a reasonable closet without doing an official capsule.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne! I really thought I had more color, but when I looked at everything together it's still a lot of neutrals. I think it will still be good though. And yes, even after this capsule is done, I'm going to try to adopt a one-in-one-out policy in my closet so things don't get out of hand again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I love your choices - especially the shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! I'm pretty partial to the shoes myself..they're always my favorite part :)
ReplyDeleteYay for April birthdays! I swear it's the best month because it's when things start getting warm and blossoming! I love all your cute sandals O.O

i know you are excited to be able to wear shorts and skirts with the weather warming up, up there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Clara! I hope it will be a good one for spring! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm SO excited to pull out the skirts (and leave the tights in the drawer!). Yay for spring :)
ReplyDeleteYou picked a great mix of items for spring, Shea! I really like all the prints and colors that I see - lots of excellent mix and match potential!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brynn! I hope so! It still ended up being more neutral-heavy than I intended, but I think it will still be good :)
