I remember reading somewhere that the "athleisure" trend is starting to overtake denim. I have no idea if that's true or not, but I do know that for me, denim will always reign supreme.
Okay, what's your favorite denim?
Jean jacket: Gap / gray stripe top: J.Crew Factory / dark skinny jeans: Gap / turquoise necklace: c/o eNVe Designs / coral flats: BCBG
Don't forget that Anne and I will be hosting a Your Spring Style linkup every Tuesday in April. Be sure to come back and join us!

Lovely denim on denim outfit Shea, those shoes are adorable.

Garay Treasures
Thank you Rachel! I was excited to pull out these shoes now that the weather has gotten nicer :)
ReplyDeleteno trend will ever replace denim. Denim isn't a trend, it's a part of life. And denim and stripes will always be my favorite.

I mean, athleisure is big- but a replacement for denim. No wayyyyy. My fave right now is super skinny, a bit cropped at the ankle, and maybe a busted-out knee. :)

I just love the denim look! I never want it to end!

"Denim isn't a trend, it's a part of life"--YES. Amen, sister. Denim and stripes are my favorite too.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Yes, I love the skinny, distressed at the knee pairs too. Need some of those!
ReplyDeleteI agree, denim forever!! :)
ReplyDeleteI will always heart denim! Denim is my favorite, hands down. I wish I could wear it every day of the week, truly. I love both of your favorite pieces, the jeans fit you so well! I would have to say my dark skinny jeans and my jean jacket are probably my favorites too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! Yes, denim FTW, always. It's so versatile...I'm never NOT in the mood for denim.
ReplyDeleteLove this look and how you pulled the double denim together. Those coral shoes are really cute too. My favorite denim has to be my denim jacket. I've had it for years now and depend on it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan! I definitely depend on my denim jacket too--in fact I put it away for winter but ended up getting it back out!
ReplyDeleteI love that outfit! That striped shirt breaks up the denim on denim so well!
ReplyDeleteAlena & http://garmentsspeech.blogspot.com
Thanks Alena!! Denim and stripes are always my go-tos :)
ReplyDeleteLove the denim on denim! The stripes mix it up so well. I'm also really loving the way you introduced red and turquoise into the outfit with your necklace and shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jana! I live in denim constantly but I needed to add some spring color too!
ReplyDeleteFun! It's so classic. I love the bright shoes especially! XO -Alexandra
ReplyDeleteSimply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
Thanks Alexandra! I was excited to pull these shoes out of storage! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your girly/boho things for spring, yay!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Color always makes me happy too :)
ReplyDeleteThe muffins were pretty good, and healthy too!
ReplyDeleteSpring denim perfection! You could totally do both trends by swapping out the flats for some cool sneakers, but I love the coral flats (obviously - twinsies!) for a springy pop. Such a classic but still fun look.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elle! I'm such a denim lover and I needed some color too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne! I've really been needing to bring out the color lately, hence the coral flats. But I did pick up some white sneakers (in my search to find slip-ons I tried on some white chuck taylors and couldn't pass them up...here's hoping I can keep them clean) and I agree that they would look good as well!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this outfit. Double denim and stripes?! You can't go wrong... two of my favourite things. I think I might need to nab this look for the weekend! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Veronika! Yep, denim and stripes are my favorites too :)
ReplyDeleteLove this look, super cute on you! I'd say my fav denim is distressed boyfriend jeans.
ReplyDeletehttp://mimiandchichi.com/
Thank you! I agree, I love my boyfriend jeans too and I'm hoping to find an even better pair this spring :)
ReplyDeleteI love a good pair of dark wash skinny jeans, but I have SUCH a hard time finding jeans that fit me, are flattering, are affordable, and hold up over time. SO...I'm going to say my favorite denim is a denim jacket. I love throwing my jacket on over any and all dresses :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you Brynn! This denim jacket has been a favorite for years, but these jeans have a shorter lifespan I'm sure. I love them now, but they will no doubt fade, get stretched out, get holes, etc. Does the perfect pair of jeans that actually lasts exist?!
ReplyDeleteI really need to get some more tops to wear to work - I realized a couple of months ago that I only had 4 tees and 0 short-sleeved blouses, which just isn't going to cut it for the spring/summer. I managed to find a few short-sleeved tees on clearance at Target, which was great, but I'm hoping to find some work-appropriate short-sleeved tops as well. That's probably my biggest focus right now :)
ReplyDeleteI'm on a similar hunt myself--I have more tees than anything too and I'd like to swap at least one out for something that can be a little dressier. Good luck!
