Would you describe your style as understated, or are you a "more is more" kind of gal? Or maybe a little bit of both?

Those booties are awesome Shea. You look great in plaid. I want to try that first look since I purchased a similar plaid shirt-dress. =)
ReplyDeleteI am co-hosting a link-up today. Come join me if you like. Thanks. =)
That skirt is so cute. I love red and I love polka dots. I own a chambray like that. I am wearing polka dots on today's post as well. Come take a peek. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ada! I'm a fan of polka dots too. I can't wait to see how you styled your dots as well! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Melanie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chrissy! They are really comfy and go with everything! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ada, thanks so much! Plaid has been one of my favorite prints to wear lately.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely check out the linkup when I get a chance today!
Too cute- love this layered look! The boots are a great finishing touch. :)

Le Stylo Rouge
Thanks Ashley! It's back to the layers after the little tease of spring weather I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteI like how this came together, the layers are great! I think I do both sides of the coin, sometimes understated, sometimes more is more!
ReplyDeleteGreat look, Shea. You pulled this off with all of the neutral layers and then the bold skirt. Very cute! I'd say I'm a little bit of both--understated, but I need at least one big thing--usually a scarf.
ReplyDeleteYou do so awesome with layering! I love the polka dots you worked in with the chambray and that red skirt is perfection! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! I think that's probably the best way to be--a little of both, depending on mood!
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan! I had this outfit in my head and I wasn't sure that it would all come together, but I'm happy with how it did. And I'm the same way, I like to add one big or bold thing to a look too--a scarf, a statement necklace, or bright shoes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jana! I wasn't sure how it would turn out with all these crazy layers but I'm pretty happy with how it worked! This polka dot shirt goes with everything! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the layers in this look and the pop of red in the skirt seriously make this outfit with all the other neutrals. You are so creative!
ReplyDeleteI'm an understated kind of girl too, but this is fun to change things up! I've been loving the graphic tee layering lately myself :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I've been on a red kick lately, and the cold weather has me wearing lots of layers. May as well have fun with it :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, every once in a while it's fun to shake things up a little. And I have a feeling that I may *need* another graphic tee for spring--I wear the heck out of this one!
ReplyDeleteYes, a good looking/stylish shoe that's not a boot but can be worn with socks is so tricky to find - but a must for the months we can't wear our beloved flats... so I think these an especially good find!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! Super cute! <3 - www.domesticgeekgirl.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Gingi!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely an understated gal. To the point that I wonder sometimes if I am homely! So I love seeing other bloggers wearing lots of colors and layers, it inspires me! Love the outfit~!

Pink Wings
I'm sure you're far from homely! I tend to be more understated too, although I do try to make myself branch out a little :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Gina!
So fun! Layering is the best, I am glad that you are enjoying playing with your winter capsule. I kind of go back and forth on the less is more, more is more thing. Depends on my energy level that day.. aha :) XO - Alexandra

I really love that skirt, it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThis is so great. I am glad the capsule is helping you learn about your wardrobe, likes, etc. Neutral cute shoes are the best. But I am hoping to up all of my shoe game this year. :) LOVE this last necklace.. so much! XO -Alexandra

Thanks Alexandra! I don't think I'll do this capsule thing forever, but I do think that it has helped me figure out what I like too!
ReplyDeleteThanks! No, I think it's good to change it up--it totally depends on my mood too. I feel like style is very dependent on how you feel--sometimes I want to keep it simple, other times I'm in the mood to do more "experimenting"
ReplyDeleteThanks Krysten! I've had it for a while and I always love the bright color it adds!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of puffy vests on myself (cause I'm already busty) but they look great on you! I love all the layers and how you paired everything together!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kari! This one is pretty puffy, so I do have to be careful not to do too many thick layers, but I like how a vest can add a finishing touch to a look.
ReplyDeleteOh I do too! I own vests just not puffy ones. I keep trying them on too hoping I could find one that looks good but I just don't think it's going to happen.
