Tie One On

Yep, this scarf again. You should know by now though; when I find something I love I wear the ever-loving crap out of it. What got me about this scarf though is that it can be a little tricky to style. It's huge and rather thick, so I'm going for looks that say "What a cute, cozy scarf!" rather than "Did you just grab the throw off the back of your couch and wrap it around your neck?"

I love a challenge though, so I'm going to try my best to scour Pinterest get creative with my scarf tying. On this scarf's debut last week, I wrapped it around my neck and tucked both corners underneath. This time, I twisted it around my neck and tucked the ends in. (However, my bare arms got cold at church so I took advantage of its size and unwrapped it from my neck to cover my arms. I love having an insta-blanket!)

Do you have any scarf-tying tips or tricks?

  1. Such a gorgeous look. I love to see how close and accessories are restyled again and again in new looks, that inspire me the most.

  2. Thanks Ramona! I'm glad you like the restyle posts, because I feel like I do a lot of them! I tend to repeat the things I love. :)

  6. Haha thanks Jennifer! Yeah, that's why I stopped posting daily outfit pics and started doing a combo of lifestyle, style, and food stuff. I would have too many repeats if I just did style posts and people would be like...geez we're so bored!

  11. Styling oversized scarves can be quite a challenge, but yours is looking great!

  12. It's perfect with your LBD! I've been struggling a little with this blanket scarf tying too, I admit. This looks cute - helps it take up a little less visual space, which can be nice sometimes :) Tomorrow have plans to try out the belting/wearing more like a cape/poncho approach... we shall see.

  13. Shea, you look absolutely adorable!! And before your post, I would have never thought of paring LBD with an infinity scarf, but you wore it so so beautifully that now I am really inspired to recreate the look :)
