Sweater Love

Now that I'm just about finished with Christmas shopping and wrapping, I'm starting to get that familiar itch to hit the stores once again, but this time to buy stuff for me. (Please tell me that I'm not the only one that finds a million things to add to my own wishlist when I'm shopping for other people!)

One thing I'll be on the hunt for is a new sweater or two. This one I'm wearing is my current favorite, and I'd like another that's similar in style but maybe a little thicker and warmer. After seeing this look on Penny Pincher Fashion I decided to try belting this sweater, and I really like how it turned out.

What kinds of sweaters will you be buying (or did you buy already) this year?

Navy print cardigan: Loft / navy t-shirt: J.Crew Factory / skinny jeans: Gap / leaf necklace: Target / brown braid belt: Loft / brown riding boots: Mia

  1. I love this sweater! It looks so great belted on you. ;) Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear. I like how this looks is causal and a little bohemian, but still very put together looking. XO -Alexandra

  5. Thanks Megan! Yes, it was a collaboration they did several years ago with Dean Harris (I think that's the name anyway)--it was a Christmas gift from the husband too...good job on that right?!

  7. I love this sweater- especially belted!
And do not feel bad about putting things on your wishlist whilst Christmas shopping- I actually shop FOR MYSELF while Christmas shopping for others because I'm a horrible person, haha.

  8. Thanks Ashley!! Ha you are SO not a horrible person for shopping for yourself while shopping for others--kills two birds with one stone right? The only reason I wait is because I know I'll get shopping money so there's no sense spending my own money now, right? Hehe :)

  9. Amazing cardigan. The design is so fun yet you can totally style it in a million ways. Love what you did with the belt. I love wearing my Christmas sweaters but we don't get much use out of them here.

  15. Ummm. I finished my Christmas shopping record early, and it was a bit of a problem because then I didn't have that "I'm supposed to be shopping for other people" barrier with all the sales. Sweater additions to my closet for sure! Love the pattern of this one, and it's great with the belt - nice that you can wear it open or like this for versatility. I got rid of so many sweaters in the closet purge that I started with the basics - cable knit cream, navy turtleneck, and marled gray crew neck. And then couldn't help but get a fun fuzzy poppy red one...

  16. Ooh I can't wait to see all the sweaters you found! I got rid of a bunch too, so I'm looking forward to rebuilding my collection. There are so many good sales right now I'm finding them pretty hard to avoid too! I won't have to hold out much longer :)

  17. That is a gorgeous sweater, and I dutifully shopped for myself the entire time I shopped for others this year. Of course I still somehow have to return things that I bought for me, but I guess that is just how the system works.

Hope you had a very lovely christmas, and get to enjoy a little time of relaxing now that it's over!
