Plaid Blanket Scarf and Basics

Especially now that I'm trying to limit my wardrobe (and therefore, my shopping), I do my best to avoid jumping on trend bandwagons. However, after nearly a year of trying to resist, I finally purchased a plaid blanket scarf. I pinned a multitude of looks featuring such a scarf, and pretty much convinced myself that my wardrobe just wasn't complete without it. So when I found this one at Target on sale for $13.99 any remaining resistance I had melted away.

Speaking of melting, this baby is warm! Even in my chilly office, my space heater remained off all day when I wore this scarf to work. I felt cozy and warm all day. So thank you, style bloggers everywhere, for making it socially acceptable for me to basically wrap a blanket around my neck and call it a must-have accessory.

Have you jumped aboard the plaid blanket scarf train?

  1. um... i'm not on the bandwagon yet, but i kinda wish i was because i feel so much love for all the stylish girls rockin the look (like you!) does it count if i just bought a green/pink plaid blanket scarf? i'm not sure - it was a JCREW find and i'm loving it, but it's much more prep than rustic/casual. anyway, you look great!! glad you splurged :)

  3. I have one sort of blanket scarf from Target too, I love it. They definitely do keep you warm, that is for sure! I love the colors in the one you have and it sounds like you got it for a pretty good deal, I think mine was closer to $20 when I bought it!

  6. Thanks Megan! I agree, it makes it easier to get on board when I find a good deal. And I'm a scarf-lover too, it's hard to pass them up (despite the fact that I probably don't need any more).
