Fall Basics and a Halloween Recap

As promised, here are Jona’s and my Halloween costumes from Friday. Other than the accessories, I worked with what was already in our closets. Halloween’s just not something I like spending a bunch of money on. (Years later when Jona insists on being Spiderman, I may sing a different tune…)

Jona even did a little trick-or-treating with my best friend’s 2-year-old Addie, who was a unicorn this year. It was pretty chilly out, but he happily let us lug him around from house to house, and although “trick or treat” proved to be too much, he did manage a “thank you” or two.

Otherwise, this weekend was pretty low key. We tried a new wrap shop for lunch (Longboards, yum!) and visited a favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner (Ponak’s). Football was on the TV (go K-State!) and lots of leftover Halloween candy was consumed. Here’s what I wore for the eating/football watching Saturday.

Gray sweater: Gap / cargo vest: Old Navy (similar) / skinny jeans: Gap / necklace: Etsy / boots: MIA (similar) / oddly carved pumpkin on my porch: c/o neighborhood squirrels
