Happy Halloween! I may not have done much decorating, but I did make a couple of Halloween-themed treats this week.
1. Sugar cookies with vanilla buttercream frosting. I already had a pumpkin cookie cutter, and made a makeshift ghost by cutting the bottom off a bell and using chocolate chips for eyes.
2. Cemetary Cookie Dessert from My Recipes. I did something that goes against everything I stand for (okay, that may be a bit dramatic) and used the “frozen whipped topping” this recipe called for. I hate that stuff. I always whip my own cream because it’s so dang easy and tastes a million times better. But I’m tired, fighting a cold, and I just needed to be lazy here, okay? Not that I think you’re lazy if you’re a Cool Whip fan. It’s just not my thing. I’m lazy in a lot of other ways, believe me. Anyway, this is a fun, easy, tasty Halloween treat!
Did you make any Halloween-themed treats this week?
P.S. I’ll share our Halloween costumes next week. “Lazy” is a key component for that one too.
