Easy Pumpkin Project

Like I mentioned yesterday, I'm always late (or a no-show) to the Halloween decorating game. This year I decided to get crafty so I could at least have a Halloween-ready table. When I saw this cute Boo Pumpkins project at Six Sisters' Stuff and then saw how easy it was to make, I was sold.

Since we were at the pumpkin patch this weekend anyway, I grabbed a few small ones for this project. Unfortunately, all the small pumpkins were still green, so they look a bit like watermelons with weird stems. These Pumpkin-melons got a Halloween makeover with B-O-O spelled out using gold brad fasteners and orange plaid ribbon bows. I have to say, even with non-pumkiny-pumpkins, I love how this DIY turned out! If you need a fast, easy Halloween project, this is a good one.

I'm linking up to In Residence for the Pin to Present linkup. Be sure to check out what other bloggers are pinning and doing!

And on a completely unrelated note...HOLY MOLY WE'RE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!! This is unreal, people.

  1. How cute is this?!
I am ashamed to admit I haven't decorated for fall... Yet? This year? I don't know why I haven't been in the mood to pull out all my fall-themed stuff, because I'm totally loving everyone's decor!

    Hope you're having a great week! :)

  3. SO cute! I haven't done much decorating this year yet due to a crawling child that gets into everything, but I really love the idea of these! We're going to get a pumpkin next week I think to carve. That will be interesting, lol! Yay for the World Series, I heard this morning about that and thought of you!

  4. This looks so good. I love finding ways to decorate pumpkins without carving them. So excited for the Royals!

  6. Haha, yeah that is usually me. And this may be the only fall decoration in my house so far, so don't feel too bad!

    Thanks Ashley, you too!

  7. Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is late to the decorating party. This is all I have so far, we'll see if I do much else, haha!

  8. Thanks Beth! Yes I totally understand--any decorating I do needs to be out of reach of those grabby little hands! We got some pumpkins to carve yet, but they're still just sitting inside (our neighborhood has ravenous squirrels who will eat the pumpkins quickly if we leave them out too long). Hopefully we'll do that soon. You'll have to show off what you do!

  9. Thanks Megan. Me too--I like to carve them, but it's such a mess! I like finding alternatives too. And yay Royals!! :)

  10. Thanks Christa! I stole the idea too, so that's good! :) I love the fall idea, that will look great--and you can leave them up past Halloween, good thinking!

  11. I'm the same way on the Halloween decorating - maybe a pumpkin or two on the porch if I'm lucky (and then I'll finally remember to toss them in about December when they're sitting there rotting...). Love how easy and cute this is though! Thanks for linking again!

  12. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't put a ton of effort into Halloween decor. Sometimes Pinterest makes me think I'm the most un-festive person on the planet!! Thanks for hosting the linkup--it's always such a good motivator to actually make something I pin!
