Mint with a Maxi

Anne from In Residence is hosting a “Currently” link-up today, so I thought I would join in the fun. Here’s what I’m up to right now:

Reading: One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell. Every once in a while, you need a little chick lit in your life, don’t you think? 

Eating: a late Cinco de Mayo dinner. Tomorrow night I’m going to make Pioneer Woman’s Tequila Lime Chicken, along with rice and beans. I’ve never made her version before, but she’s never done me wrong before! 

Wearing: new clothes. I’ve had fun trying out some recent birthday-money purchases lately (like this dress). 

Anticipating: my mom’s visit, which is this afternoon! I can’t wait to see her, and neither can Jona. 

Enjoying: Jona’s age right now. I think I say “this stage is the best” at every stage he’s gone though (except maybe the first month…that was a little rough), but 8 months is such a fun age! He loves to babble, smile, laugh, and clap his hands. Oh, and eat! He’s such a great eater too. As much as his parents love to eat, was there really any doubt?

I may take a bit of a break while my mom is here, so if you don’t hear from me again this week, that’s why. I’ll be back next week though!
