The other day I started thinking about what I was doing this time last year, and I came up with a great big nothing. Let’s see, I wasn’t working (just job-hunting), I wasn’t going to school, and I wasn’t growing a human. So it’s no wonder last summer was a relaxing one while this one is an exhausting one!
I’m thankful, though, because this summer has already been full of some great memories. Over the weekend my mom came to visit, and we had so much fun going to garage sales, eating out, and chatting. Normally it would be a while before I get to see her again but she’s coming back in August (for the birth of her grandson of course!). Then Sunday I spent some time hanging out with my dad for Father’s Day, eating some delicious food and watching the Royals score another victory. In between all the fun I had to do lots of school work (I had a paper due Sunday night and another on Wednesday…gah!) but all in all it was a wonderful family-filled weekend.
