Mint and Floral for Friday

Hooray for Friday! (And hooray for short work weeks—this one breezed by!) I only worked three days this week; Monday I was off for Memorial Day and yesterday I took the day off because Aaron had sinus surgery. He’s recovering nicely, which is a relief. I made sure to stock the fridge with Jello and pudding, since part of his surgery was in his throat and he has to stick to soft foods for now. (Ice cream definitely fits this category, so I may have to “accidentally” make too much milk shake so he’s forced to share.)

It looks like I’ve had plenty of ice cream lately though; funny how seeing pictures can be so much different than looking in a mirror. My belly looks HUGE in these pictures; it’s hard to imagine that it’s going to get even bigger. And don’t get me started on my feet and ankles… by the end of the day the word “cankles” gets thrown around a little. And this was a good day! Oh well, it was an excuse to buy these cute flats since I needed a size bigger.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

29 Weeks: The Prodigal Blogger

Hey guys, I’m still alive! I know it’s been far too long, and I really hope to get back to blogging on a (somewhat) regular basis. Life just got a little crazy there for a while. I started a new job as a receptionist, which means I work regular hours and don’t have time during the day to blog or do school work. I’m thankful for the steady hours; subbing was getting ridiculously slow. School has been eating up almost all of my free time lately; summer classes just started and they are already kicking my ass intense.

It’s hard to believe I’m already 29 weeks along. I can’t say this pregnancy has been a breeze. After recovering from first trimester's fun with nausea, I got a bad rash (PUPPP was the technical term) during my second trimester. It made me very uncomfortable for a few weeks (and a thrill to live with I'm sure), but luckily it’s much better now. Other than being in a constant state of having to pee I feel pretty good, and my little guy seems to be developing right on schedule. Yes, in my absence I forgot to tell you that I’m having a boy! I’ll have to update you with nursery pictures when we get finished. It’s still a work in progress.

Well that’s the last few months of my life in a nutshell. How have you been? I’ve missed you! It was reading all of your wonderful blogs that made me miss blogging and decide to come back. I don’t know how regular I’ll be with posting, commenting, returning comments and the like, but I’ll try my best not to completely disappear again.
