15 Weeks: Tights and Stripes

I’ve accepted the fact that my wardrobe is starting to dwindle due to my expanding belly, and recently I had to mourn my first loss: tights. I can get by with the elastic band trick on the buttons of my jeans, but unfortunately there’s no way to stretch out the waistband of my favorite hosiery. I bought a pair in a larger size (the ones I’m wearing here) hoping they would do the trick, but at the end of the day yesterday I couldn’t get them off fast enough.

I wonder what will be the next to go, button up shirts or skinny jeans, perhaps? I want to hold out buying maternity clothes for as long as possible (says me and every other pregnant woman on the planet) so I’m counting on my clothes to hold out for a little bit longer.

Red, Pink, and a Baby

That was quite a little break I took, wasn’t it? If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram (@shealennon) you may have noticed my recent reveal of the reason behind my absence: I’m pregnant! It wasn’t my intention to go this long without blogging, but for the last couple of months my priority has been trying not to puke rather than trying to look cute.

I’m finally in my second trimester (14 weeks!) and I’m starting to feel a little better. Let me tell you though, those first 13 weeks were rough. I hope to get back to blogging regularly, but right now I’m just going to take it a day at a time.

So this is what I wore yesterday for Valentine’s Day. I couldn’t help but theme it up a little. I’m linking up to Long Distance Loving for a red and pink Friday’s Fancies. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of those!

Anyway, I’ve missed you guys, thanks for being so sweet and supportive!
