How was your weekend? Mine was full of celebrations: we celebrated barbecue Friday night at the American Royal, a friend’s birthday Saturday night, and my dad’s on Sunday. His birthday is really today, so happy birthday dad!
Now that the weather, and not just the calendar, says fall I stowed away my summer clothes and took my cool-weather pieces from their basement hibernation. This ruffled blouse is one item I wear plenty this time of year: the colors seem to go with the season.
On a milder day, I wore it for work with my bright red skirt. For a subtle pattern mix, I added my favorite leopard shoes. Over the weekend it got pretty chilly, so I layered it under a cardigan with jeans and boots. A ruffled, printed blouse like this one looks dressy, but you can see how easily a cozy cardigan and jeans give it a more casual vibe.
