Color Blocking in the City

When I saw that this month’s Everybody Everywear theme is color-blocking, I knew this outfit I wore at the beginning of the month for our anniversary dinner would be perfect. You know how much I love bright colors, so I wanted to pair this top (my purchase from the Off Fifth event) with a contrasting hue.

For our anniversary, we went to the Bristol, a seafood restaurant in the Power and Light district in Kansas City. I thought it would be fun to take pictures after dinner, since there are so many beautiful places in this newly renovated district. (Of course, I didn’t think about how tight my pencil skirt would feel after all that food! Next time, I’ll wear a nice, comfy dress.)

Although most of our date nights are pretty casual affairs, it’s nice to get all gussied up every once in a while. (And then go home, change into PJs and watch the ID channel and with a glass of wine. Anyone else?)
