Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Way Up High

While my goal today wasn't to look like a bowl of sherbet or an Easter egg, I think that's exactly what I accomplished. And I'm perfectly okay with that--who doesn't like sherbet or easter eggs? However, my goal was color-blocking, and I think I attained that as well.

Kristina, of Pretty Shiny Sparkly, created a style challenge series called Bloggers Do It Better. Since I love Kristina's glamorous, girlie style, not to mention I completely agree with that credo, of course I had to join! First up, we were "assigned" to create a look using color-blocking or bold, colorful stripes.

Orange cardigan: Loft; purple one-shoulder dress: Loft (similar); earrings: Target (similar); pink scarf: Marshall's (similar); bronze flower sandals: Gap (similar)

I was a little hesitant at first to wear all these bold brights together, but I couldn't be more satisfied with how it turned out. I felt like smiling all day, simply because these colors just make me so happy!

This is a trend I'm definitely going to embrace for spring, and I'm sure I'll get loads of inspiration from the other girls' looks. To check them all out, visit Pretty Shiny Sparkly
