You Start the Year Off Fine

I'm a calendar girl. I'm head over heels for my Franklin Covey planner, and other than coffee, my favorite part of the morning is revealing today's page for my page-a-day calendar. Last year's was a bit of a let-down, but this year I couldn't wait to start my Book Lover's edition. Despite the fact that I didn't get through all the books I wanted to when I bought the 2006 edition, I decided 2011 was a year to start with a fresh list of must-reads. So you may be hearing many a recommendation from me along the way.

Speaking of calendars, the beautiful, creative Kimberly of Fab Finds Under $50 did another Blogger-inspired Inspiration Calendar this month! I was truly inspired by today's featured Blogger: the adorable Jo of Daily Haiku and her mix of chambray and florals. How'd I do Jo? If you're looking for some inspiration too, you'll definitely have to check out the calendar (make sure to check out the look for the 22nd, wink wink).

Chambray shirt: Old Navy; skirt: Forever 21; earrings: Target; belt: Target; tights: Old Navy (only worn twice and already have holes in the toes. Grrr!); shoes: Merona, gift

I was so flattered to be chosen by Kimberly. I love her Inspiration Calendars, they are so handy for those, "what should I wear today" days!

  3. You look marvelous! So glad that you could be part of the calendar and use it for inspiration.

Thanks for the sweet works, Jo and Shea!

  4. Well done, I say! I love this combination. The grey tights and red shoes are super fun :)

  5. I love the chambray and florals together, especially with those shoes! And I'm definitely down for some book recommendations, I'm in desperate need of a trip to the library.
