It's 2011! Why not eat some cookie pie?

When it comes to dessert, I've always been more of a cake or cookie person rather than a pie person. My rationale goes something like this: it's dessert! I want chocolate, not fruit! But, when chocolate and pie get together... now we're talking.  I came across this recipe for Toll House Cookie Sundae Pie on Tasty Kitchen, and I couldn't not make it. I mean, it's pie, it's a cookie, it's a sundae, there's chocolate AND ice cream. Yes! Yes! Yes!

The result? Deliciousness. I found that it was way better served warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (and chocolate syrup of course). Also, I found my lazy gal's pre-made pie crust to be a bit lacking. If I made this again, I would either make my own crust or at least use the refrigerated roll-out kind. Otherwise, this little slice of heaven met all my dessert requirements, and then some.

  3. OMG - that looks sooooooooo sinfully good. Since my goal this year is to get back to my healthy weight and not to outgrow all my clothes, I will have to refrain from making this recipe. However, I'll continue to live vicariously through your blog as I munch carrot sticks. Drool.

  9. OMG this looks evil and delicious! But I love a fruit pie, something about the tartness of apple or cherries just kills me!
