Today was try number two for this outfit. See, I had planned to wear it last Friday, but I failed to find a sub job that day. And on another day I might have still worn it, but it didn't seem to fit the bill when my day's checklist was shortened to: pack, go to the store, and ride in a car. I might get some funny looks from the people at Sam's Club if I tried to hoist the 45 pound bag of dog food into my cart while wearing heels and a fairly short skirt. But I digress...
I was inspired last week by Spry on the Wall's week of chambray. At first, I classified it into the "not applicable" category in my brain, seeing as I was the only lady in the blogosphere without a trusty chambray shirt. But lo and behold, when browsing through the sale rack at Old Navy, this little number practically jumped up and grabbed me. And seeing as how it had cute little pearl snaps, a long length perfect for tucking, and most importantly cost only $11.50, I decided it was an offer I couldn't refuse. I know it's a pretty casual piece, but I couldn't wait to dress it up. So I paired it with my new shiny happy skirt and it was a done deal.
