Fill My Eyes with that Double Vision

I had everything I needed to do it. I decided to just go ahead and give it a try. I mean really, what's the worst that could happen? No, I'm not talking about starting some new venture or embarking on a challenge. Well, not unless you consider getting dressed a challenge. I'm referring to my decision to wear double denim today. Yep. Light, loose, snappy chambray on top, dark, slim jeans on bottom. And you know what? I like it.

It's nothing new, of course. The double denim look has been rocking all over the blogosphere for some time now (examples here, here, and here). Honestly, my double denim look developed more from laziness than anything else today. I wore the top half of this look with a skirt as I was getting ready to work today, but alas the substitute gods were against me and I didn't get a job. Not wanting to change my outfit completely, I kept the shirt and tee and threw on some jeans. And done. Will you be sporting any double denim this year?

  2. Lookin' good! Love the new shoes! I have been scared to give this look a try but you make it look effortless. :)

  3. The double denim is working for you! I too was a bit reluctant to embrace what traditionally has always been a fashion don't, but over the summer I threw caution to the wind. I especially like a light chambray shirt with white jeans, which was kind of my summer uniform.

  4. Those shoes are from Target?! I am off to go to Target right now then! :)

  5. you did double denim perfectly :)

  6. you did the double denim look perfectly :)

  7. You know what, the oxfords just MAKE this look. Also, the light plus the dark wash. You have totally rocked this look. And also, I like you. I really do. I love reading your blog. It is just so easy and familiar and funny and pitch perfect really. It's like what I imagine your food is like: comfort blog. Yup. That's what you've got. A comfort blog. Mmm...makes me want some tea.
