Talkin Bout Freedom

Happy fourth of July! I'm going to squeeze this quick post in before some friends come over to barbecue in the rain.  Why does it always threaten to rain when you plan outdoor activities? Anyway, I wore this yesterday to a fourth of July party, planning on trying to keep cool in light layers.  And what did it do? It rained, leaving me wishing I'd worn jeans.  Oh well.

So, the freedom of which I speak in the title has less to do with my overwhelming patriotism and more to do with freedom of choice.  The choice of which clothes I'm going to wear, I mean. I'm thinking about joining in on Kendi at Kendi Everyday's 30 for 30 challenge.  What that means, is starting tomorrow, for 30 days I will only be able to choose from 30 items in my closet (including shoes).  I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it, but I'm a little nervous! Only 30 things?!? You're also not supposed to shop during the challenge.  That part scares me quite a bit.  What do you think? Should I do it?

  1. I love navy and yellow! You should definitely do the challenge, it won't be too difficult, just enough to make it exciting. I'm using Kendi's previous 30 for 30 challenge as inspiration to make sure I pick enough stuff. Also I'm planning ahead so I can adjust an item if it's too "out there".
