Make New Friends, But Keep the Old

I love it when I find a new blog to read! And lately, thanks to the Rosebud Network, Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge, and my curiosity for other gals' blogrolls, my blog list has been growing exponentially.  Today, I was inspired by two new blogs that recently got my attention.  Firstly, the lovely Jen at A Little Bird Told Me introduced me to Wearing It Today, a fashion blog created by a Fashion editor of Red Magazine.  I was inspired by the simplicity of this look, and loved how she paired her glam bib necklace with an otherwise casual ensemble.  I don't know what I would do during the 30 for 30 challenge if accessories weren't freebies! My looks have been pretty simple, but the addition of belts, scarves, and jewelry have kept things interesting. (Well, interesting to me at least.  I suppose, though, if you're not interested you wouldn't be reading this.)

The second inspiration I had today was from Keiko Lynn, and I know she's a big name in the blog world, but for some reason I'm just now getting around to checking out her amazing style.  Not only is her style amazing, but her makeup skills are just as covetable.  I followed her tutorial for this fresh-faced look.  Despite not having half the amazing products she uses, I still love how it turned out.  I should have had Aaron do a face close-up, but a huge picture of just my face scares me a little!  Anyway, thank you fellow bloggers! You are a constant source of inspiration!

  1. OMG, I miss Francesca's. That and Mexican food. That's what I miss about Houston!

  2. You look great! I'm loving your necklace!

  3. That necklace is a fantastic way to punch up your outfit to a whole other level! It goes perfectly, and screams "look at me!"

You've been doing a really good job of mixing it up and keeping things fresh so far. I'm not doing the challenge myself, since living out of a suitcase is already 30-30 enough for me, I don't need any more restrictions!

I really appreciate hearing from you!
